Philips ultrasound lines

Philips is a Dutch health-technology company and one of the long-established international ultrasound makers. This page is for orientation only — not a ranking and not a list of products we carry. Model names and versions within each line change over time.

Where Philips is often shortlisted

Cardiac and vascular

Philips has a long history in echocardiography, so cardiology and vascular buyers often include it on a shortlist. Judge it as you would any echo system: phased-array image quality, CW Doppler, cardiac calculations and offline review.

Shared general imaging

Mid-range cart systems are common where one machine serves abdomen, small parts, vascular and obstetric lists. Check that each specialty’s probes and measurement packages are on the quote.

Handheld point of care

Lumify runs through an app on a supported smart device. Check the current device-compatibility list, which probe types are offered and how images reach your patient records.

What to check before buying a Philips system

  • Which line and tier you are being quoted, and whether the unit is new, ex-demo or refurbished.
  • A demonstration on your own patients and exam types — including a patient who is hard to scan.
  • Every probe listed by name, and which probes the platform accepts later.
  • Which software options are active — such as cardiac packages, elastography or 3D — and their price if added later.
  • Probe warranty, loan probes during repair, and local repair turnaround.
  • Applications training and service coverage in your state, including Sabah and Sarawak if relevant.
  • The MDA registration number for the system and each probe.

Comparing Philips fairly

Compare a Philips quote with GE, Samsung, Canon and the Chinese brands at the same tier, with the same probes and the same software switched on. A premium badge on a basic configuration can be worse value than a mid-range system configured for your exams; the probes, the options and the local support decide.
